PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

 

Electrical design and development for Nuclear Services and Power Generation.  Develop one line and MCC control panel, wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings, schematics, cable schedules, database, bill of materials, P&ID’s and all associated supporting documentation.  Review and revise vendor documentation, define scope and method of design standards needed to produce quality product.  Electrical Wiring, Instrument Controls, and Physical design development from design stage planning through as-built phase, field walk downs to assure client specifications and satisfaction.

 

CB&I – (July 2014 – Dec 2015) – SR DESIGNER – Ability to obtain High-Level Clearance, Safeguard/Security and Radiation Certification

·   Onsite support of the Cold and Dark effort and overall plant decommissioning of San Onofre Nuclear Generating. 

·   Electrical design support for Repowering of plant through Ring Bus Distribution and off site power. 

·   Provide Safeguard and design support for existing Security System of Protected and Vital Area. 

·   Repowering of loads for new equipment, removal and repurpose of existing equipment and power. 

·   Electrical Room Layout, Tray, Grounding & Lighting, MCC’s One lines, Panels, Elementary, General arrangements, details and tray drawings.

 

JACOBS ENGINEERINNG - (Jan 2013 – May 2013) - SR DESIGNER: 

·   Electrical design of conveyor systems and equipment for Mining Industry. 

·   Develop and design physical plans and wiring diagrams for 55k system, through I&C P&ID's, Mechanical Elevations and equipment drawings and client specifications.

 

SHAW ENGINEERING – (August2011 - December 2012) - SR DESIGNER: 

·   VC Summer Nuclear Plant.  Review and redline vendor documents, define scope and method of design standards needed to produce quality product. 

·   Develop Control Room, One-Line, panel drawings, wiring elementary diagrams, interconnection drawings, schematics, cable schedules, equipment lists, and all associated supporting documentation, in association with the switchyard, transformers and substation.

·   Review and revise for quality check of physical and wiring design from beginning development stage through client interface review.    

 

S.R.P. – (June 2010 – August 2011) - SR DESIGNER: 

·   Create new and existing controls/electrical designs for Fossil Power Plant control wiring diagrams, panel schedules,  MCC’s, power distribution, cable/tray routing documentation and scheduling, DCS and I/O data

·   Pre-Outage field walk downs and research for upcoming plant outage.  Field Assignment on site during the plant outage, working with the contract crews to install and resolve construction phase issues.

·   Document and redline modifications during Installation and obtain needed data to complete all associated documentation and design records for Plant Installation Records.

 

SHAW ENGINEERING – (October 2008 – June 2010) - SR DESIGNER: 

·   Electrical design and development for new Coal Power Plant. 

·   Review vendor documents and P&ID’s, I & C, documents, and scope to develop wiring diagrams and interconnection drawings, schematics, cable schedules, equipment lists, I/O lists panel schedules.

 

U.R.S. WASHINGTON GROUP DIV. – (March 2008 – October 2008) - DESIGNER: 

·   Electrical design for Defense Dept. Demilitization of Chemical Weapons, and Electrical Instrumentation & Controls group. 

·   Design new and upgrade existing electrical and physical plans. Instrumentation, control wiring, schematics, site, substations, earthing plans,  calculations, loop diagrams,  cable/conduit trays and routing, P&ID’s, MCC, part specifications and bill of materials.

 

A.P.S. – (January 2007 – March 2008) - SR DESIGNER: 

·   Design and develop new and existing controls/electrical designs for Fossil Power Plant facility site plans, control wiring/elementary diagrams, panel schedules, risers, motor control centers, P&ID's, power calculations, bill of materials, and other associated documentation.  CEMS

 

SIEMENS BUILDING TECHNOLOGIES - (December 2005 – December 2006) - SR. DESIGNER/DRAFTER:

·   Design development of Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems for Building Automation, design build, existing upgrades, for Commercial Developments. 

·   Design systems, battery calculations, equipment selection, physical and wiring designs, panel layout, site plans, material spec sheets, and submittal packages.     

 

MC GREW ENGINEERING- (June 2005 – December 2005) - DESIGNER/DRAFTER: 

·   Commercial lighting designs.  Work directly with engineers and designers to develop drawings for new and existing projects. 

·   Lighting, power, HVAC, special systems, fire alarm, one-lines, panel diagrams and site plans.

WATERTRONIC’S - (October 2001 – March 2002) - DESIGNER: 

·   Design detailed circuit diagrams; panel layouts, and BOM’s for pump control systems

·   Implementation and development of new and unique symbol library, data based items and macro function ability and software library. 

 

QTI - (August 1999 – September 2001) - DESIGNER: 

·   Design and development of machine control products through extracting and analyzing engineering data, apply conventional engineering practices to produce schematic designs, specifications, electrical parts lists. 

·   Panel layouts; electrical and pneumatic designs, generation of wire and cable list files.

·   Training and development of Jr staff for product specifications and design standardization.

 

SIEMENS FOSSIL POWER CORPORATION – (August 1997 – October 1999) - DESIGNER: 

·   Work directly with engineering team to develop product designs within specifications, standardization and quality of new design factors and practices. 

·   Develop symbols and tracking lists for cables and devices, quality checking of MCC’s, Schematics, BOM’s and designs.

·   Training and development of Jr staff for product specifications and design standardization.

 

U.S. FILTER – (March 1996 – August 1997) - DESIGNER/DETAILER:

·                        Design and development of control panels and electrical components for Waste Water management projects.

·                        Design symbols for cell library. 

·                        Conversion of design from older system to new software packages.  BOM’s, Sub Panels and Schematics.

 

REPETE CORPORATION - (April 1995 – March 1996) - DESIGNER:   

·   Work closely with the engineering staff to develop product specifications and system design, for in house manufacturing of automated control panels, database and cell library.
